SeaWorld Orlando has officially announced that its highly anticipated new attraction, Expedition Odyssey, will open to the public on May 1, 2025.
Billed as the world’s first fully immersive Arctic experience, Expedition Odyssey is set to redefine what guests expect from theme park adventures by blending next-generation ride technology with real-world animal encounters and breath-taking visuals.
Before the grand opening, Annual Pass Members will have the exclusive opportunity to be among the first to experience the attraction during a series of preview days beginning April 26.
Access to these previews will roll out based on pass tier:
- Saturday, April 26: Platinum Pass Members
- Sunday, April 27: Platinum and Gold
- Monday, April 28: Platinum, Gold, and Silver
- Tuesday, April 29: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze
- Wednesday, April 30: All Pass Members and Fun Card Holders
- Thursday, May 1: Grand Opening to the general public
Expedition Odyssey is more than just a ride—it’s a journey deep into the heart of the Arctic. Guests will soar above glaciers, race with beluga whales, and dive into the icy depths of the ocean in a fully immersive environment that seamlessly blends simulation and reality. The experience culminates in an up-close encounter with real Arctic wildlife, including beluga whales and walruses, making it one of the most unique and educational attractions ever introduced at the park.
At the centre of the attraction is a revolutionary ride system unlike anything currently in operation. This next-gen technology allows for "ultra-fluid motion"—twisting, gliding, soaring, and diving—with a level of realism that makes every movement feel like part of an actual Arctic expedition. Designed for families, Expedition Odyssey has a height requirement of just 39 inches, allowing kids and adults alike to embark on this unforgettable journey together.
